Lamplighter Award
The DMS/DHMC Office of Development earned a first place award for the Transforming Medicine Campaign video in the 2006 Lamplighter competition, presented by the New England Society of Healthcare Communications in May. The video features interviews with Dr. Stephen Spielberg, Dean of Dartmouth Medical School, and Mark A. Israel, MD, director of Norris Cotton Cancer Center, and John E. Wennberg, MD, MPH, director of the Center for the Evaluative Clinical Sciences.
Lamplighter awards are presented annually by the organization to honor excellence in communications. The finest healthcare organizations from across the six New England states submitted nearly 300 entries for this year's competition. Entries were judged by a panel of communications professionals who assessed strategy, creativity, and cost-effectiveness. These honors place Dartmouth medicine materials among the best in New England's healthcare communications.
