Investing in Medical Education
For more than two centuries we have been committed to educating future generations of doctors and scientists and the discovery of new knowledge. The priorities of the Transforming Medicine Campaign reflect our continuing commitment to excellence in medical education and research. Private gifts are essential for keeping Dartmouth Medical School and the Medical Center strong. We welcome your philanthropic support in these areas of greatest potential and need.
Faculty & Programs
$85 million is designated for support of faculty, primarily through the establishment of endowed chairs for senior faculty and endowments for junior faculty development. This funding is critical for retaining and recruiting faculty and physicians, as well as protecting scholars and researchers from fluctuations in grant funding. Program endowment will also strengthen the academic and learning environment.
$98 million will go toward key clinical and research programs within the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, as well as research activities in such areas of strategic strength as neuroscience, cardiovascular research, immunology and infectious disease, orthopaedics, and genetics.
