Children's Health
Support for the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, or CHaD—New Hampshire's only children's hospital—advances pediatric research and the enhancement of family-centered care programs grounded in teaching and research. Areas of critical need include increased endowment support to advance pediatric care and education; family-centered care and children's advocacy; current use funds for new research initiatives; and an enhancement of physical facilities.
The Case
Children are not simply small adults. Their care requires more people with specific training in children's needs, specialized equipment in sizes suited to them, and more attention to the needs of entire families as well as individual patients.
